Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them // Movie Review!

Ahh I loved this movie! When I first saw the trailers I was pretty meh about the movie but then the day it came out I heard all of these good things about the movie and I got really excited and hyped to see it.

So when I got to the movies I was really upset and nervous because the screen that shows the movie was pixelated weirdly during the before movie stuff and I was worried that the movie would be like that and that was not okay with me.

Thankfully, just before the movie started the screen became clear and I could breathe again.

When the Harry Potter theme started playing I was so happy and excited and the nostalgia was real. I LOVED Eddie Redmayne as Newt. Honestly, Newt is such an adorkable nerd and Eddie embodied him perfectly! And then it was sweet to see Ezra Miller in the movie because he and the original Hermione, Emma Watson, were in the Perks of Being a Wallflower, and saw somewhere on instagram that when Ezra found out he got the part he called Emma Watson first.

Also, okay, I’m sorry, but I was not happy with Johnny Depp being in this, I really didn’t think that was casted right, sorry if that’s an unpopular opinion.

My favorite scene was in the bank with Newt and Jacob when they first meet. I almost laughed when Newt sat down next to Jacob and Jacob was like what are you here for, and Newt was like same as you, and Jacob was like oh you also want to get a loan to start a bakery?

Ah when Newt pulled out his wand to disapperate I was so happy because it was like I was back in the realm of Harry Potter.

I’m still confused as to whether the Ilvermorny houses relate to the Hogwarts ones or not, because I’m a Ravenclaw, but I have no idea what Ilvermorny house I’m in. Ooh when Queenie and Newt had that little Hogwarts vs. Ilvermorny bit, that was funny to see wizards and witches from different schools defending their school.

The fact that Dumbledore saw something in Newt made me almost tear up, the mere fact that Dumbledore was even mentioned made me tear up!

Also, those two plot twists! I called one, but I’m still annoyed at myself that I didn’t get the other one because it was soooo obvious! Ugh how did I not get that!

Fantastic Beats was definitely a fantastic movie and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next movies!

Have you seen Fantastic Beasts? Who’s your favorite character? Favorite magical creature from Newt’s suitcase?

I remember this line from when i read Harry Potter for the first time, and i just remember loving it so much, and laughing, just because little lines like this throughout the series were just so great and easy to laugh at.

Moving on to the people i tag!
