Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them // Movie Review!

Image result for fantastic beasts and where to find them

Ahh I loved this movie! When I first saw the trailers I was pretty meh about the movie but then the day it came out I heard all of these good things about the movie and I got really excited and hyped to see it.

So when I got to the movies I was really upset and nervous because the screen that shows the movie was pixelated weirdly during the before movie stuff and I was worried that the movie would be like that and that was not okay with me.

Thankfully, just before the movie started the screen became clear and I could breathe again.

When the Harry Potter theme started playing I was so happy and excited and the nostalgia was real. I LOVED Eddie Redmayne as Newt. Honestly, Newt is such an adorkable nerd and Eddie embodied him perfectly! And then it was sweet to see Ezra Miller in the movie because he and the original Hermione, Emma Watson, were in the Perks of Being a Wallflower, and saw somewhere on instagram that when Ezra found out he got the part he called Emma Watson first.

Also, okay, I’m sorry, but I was not happy with Johnny Depp being in this, I really didn’t think that was casted right, sorry if that’s an unpopular opinion.

My favorite scene was in the bank with Newt and Jacob when they first meet. I almost laughed when Newt sat down next to Jacob and Jacob was like what are you here for, and Newt was like same as you, and Jacob was like oh you also want to get a loan to start a bakery?

Ah when Newt pulled out his wand to disapperate I was so happy because it was like I was back in the realm of Harry Potter.

I’m still confused as to whether the Ilvermorny houses relate to the Hogwarts ones or not, because I’m a Ravenclaw, but I have no idea what Ilvermorny house I’m in. Ooh when Queenie and Newt had that little Hogwarts vs. Ilvermorny bit, that was funny to see wizards and witches from different schools defending their school.

The fact that Dumbledore saw something in Newt made me almost tear up, the mere fact that Dumbledore was even mentioned made me tear up!

Also, those two plot twists! I called one, but I’m still annoyed at myself that I didn’t get the other one because it was soooo obvious! Ugh how did I not get that!

Fantastic Beats was definitely a fantastic movie and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next movies!

Have you seen Fantastic Beasts? Who’s your favorite character? Favorite magical creature from Newt’s suitcase?

3 Days 3 Quotes Tag (2) Day 3

Yay, the third day of the 3 days 3 quotes tag is upon us! Once again I was tagged by Erin @  Breathing in the Pages

THE RULES:

1. Thank the person that nominated you

2. Post a quote 3 consecutive days

3. Nominate 3 new bloggers every day

For the last day I have to go with a quote from Harry Potter:

Dudley: They stuff people’s heads down the toilet the first day at Stonewall. Want to come upstairs and practice?
Harry: No, thanks. The poor toilet’s never had anything as horrible as your head down it — it might be sick.

I really hated how Dudley always pushed Harry around, but I was glad that Harry was able to defend himself better in the second book because he had the threat of magic hanging over Dudley. But I did love how Harry managed to get away with insults because Dudley was too stupid to understand them.

I Tag:

Anna @ My Bookish Dream

Maria @ Marwhal Reads

Carolyn @ A Hundred Thousand Stories

And that’s a wrap! I’m going to go finish up some homework now and then post my January Wrap Up later in the day.

The Celebrity Book Tag!

Celebrity Book Tag!

Thank you Ari @ The Daydreaming Bookworm for tagging me to do the Celebrity Book Tag!

1. Emma Watson ~ A book with a hot, kick-butt female character

Is there really any other than Celaena Sardothien? This question was made for her really. Throne of Glass is just such an amazing series. I could also say Hermione Granger, you know, cause she’s awesome AND Emma Watson plays her.

2. Ryan Gosling ~ A book with the hottest male character

Um, Ryan Gosling is NOT that hot. Can I say Rowan from Heir of Fire? No, I must choose a different book. Oh duh, Jamie Fraser from Outlander! That smile! Seriously Sam Heughan’s smile is melting and I haven’t even watched the show yet, but I will be in a few weeks!

3. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ~ A book with your favorite fictional book couple

Are you kidding!? Claire and Jamie! Rowan and Aelin! America and Maxon are pretty nice as a couple too. Ooh, and Will and Nico! Solangelo are the best!

4. Shailene Woodley ~ Author you’ve recently discovered and loved

Ok, I’m done, every question has the answer Outlander and Diana Gabaldon. Let’s go with Becky Albertalli! She wrote Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda.

5. Josh Hutcherson ~ Favorite short story or novella

Aw, poor Josh Hutcherson getting the height question. But I do have to say that there is a tie between Fairest by Marissa Meyer and Maybe Not by Colleen Hoover.

6. Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock ~ Favorite Big Book (over 500 pages)

Well I would have said Queen of Shadows but I already did Throne of Glass, and I also already did Outlander, so Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix it is.

7. Leonardio DiCaprio ~ A series with the most upsetting death (NO SPOILERS)

Hmph, I said Harry Potter, Throne of Glass, and Outlander already, so I suppose it’s time for The Fault in Our Stars and All The Bright Places.

8. Kristen Stewart ~ A book you found boring

Kristen Stewart is NOT boring. Egg and Spoon is honestly the worst and most boring book I’ve ever read. I thought I would like it since it had Russian fairy tales but it was so bad I nearly didn’t make it to the end, I do not recommend this to anyone.

9. Ian Somerhalder and his cat ~ Cutest book on your shelf

Him and his cat are not that cute…but you know what is!? To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. The cover is cute, the story is cute, the boys are cute, everything is cute! …oh wait I googled Ian and his cat and I have to admit that they’re pretty cute together…

10. Jennifer Lawrence ~ Perfect book or series

Perfect eh? That’s very rare to come by, but I will say that Harry Potter was very near to perfection, and so was Percy Jackson and the Olympians, not the Heroes of Olympus though. Mysterious Benedict Society was great too. Outlander as well as the Winner’s Trilogy. And of course so were most of CoHo’s books. So yes, that is my answer, all of the above!

Ew Midterms next week with a capital M. I’m praying for a snowstorm like last year to cancel them. 😦

Top Ten Magical Items I Wish Were Real- Top Ten Tuesday

ea7b9-toptentuesday

Hello everyone! Another Top Ten Tuesday! I promised myself that i would do one every Tuesday, but that’s only happened twice. Today’s week is a freebie, so i’m going to list some of the things, or items in book that i wish were real. As you can probably guess, most of the items came from Harry Potter, but three are not! Wow, three, i know.

Anyways, Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! So, let’s get started!

1. Annabeth’s Yankee Baseball Hat

I was going to say invisibility cloak, but that’s so 1999. Annabeth’s Hat is much more modern and easier to put on, rather than a cumbersome cloak

2. Glamours

On second thought, though they could come in handy for me, imagine everyone using a glamour?! Yikes! Just for me though, so i don’t need to keep putting stuff on my face to cover the acne and acne scars. Teenage years are rough on your face i tell you.

3. Hoverboards

Even though i sort of disliked this series, those hoverboard things that the main character, uses, those are so cool, and i would love one, as i can’t drive yet, and these would solve that problem of getting around.

And now! The Harry Potter Magical Items! Whoot!

4. Polyjuice Potion

Oh, the things i would do if i had Polyjuice Potion. To be honest, i’d probably turn into a boy and see if any guy at my school likes me, cause i’m such a stereotypical teenager.

5. The Marauder’s Map

This would be the best thing ever, though i don’t know what i would use it for, considering i’m a good girl who doesn’t get into trouble at school and doesn’t sneak around, ahem, Harry.

6. The Tent from Goblet of Fire

I don’t even camp, but i would probably set it up in my room or something, so i could have a room inside of a room, away from my pesky brothers and parents.

7. Skele-Gro

Oh my god, that’s a creepy bottle. This would be cool to have just in case i split my arm open or something. I could also donate it to a hospital so it could save lives. Thank you, thank you, i know, i’m amazing and generous.

8. Veritaserum

Oh baby, the things i could do with this!!! I could use it on my brother so he would finally tell me the truth, or i don’t even know, cause i’m not evil, but i would think of something to do with it.

9. The Beaded Bag

Oh my god, yaaaaas! The things i could carry with this! I don’t go on planes very often, but this could be like, your carry on! And i could fit sooo many books in here on the way from the library, or going to school extra prepared. Yes!!!!

10. Self Writing Quill

Even though i hate Rita Skeeter, her quill could come in handy…

P.S. I’m writing this in the morning, cause there’s no school today because of the Jewish Holidays, and i had the weirdest dream last night.

I dreamed we were given our class rankings, and it was a very horrible dream because i KNOW i won’t be in the Top Ten, but i’m hoping, and in this dream, i wasn’t.

I know, i know, i shouldn’t stress about it, i KNOW! But i can’t help it.

So, anyways, that is it for today’s Top Ten Tuesday! I hope you enjoyed it! Leave a comment if a missed any ones that you thought of, or if you agreed with any of my choices.

Thanks so much for reading!
