WWW Wednesday! October 12, 2016

I’m back with a WWW Wednesday!

I’m so glad I don’t have school today for Yom Kippur, IB is slowly taking my soul. I’ve read like one book this month which is really sad, but it’s okay because from the summer I’m 13 books ahead for my Goodreads reading challenge of 100 books, (I’ve read 90 books so far).

Anyways, this is a cool meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, and formerly hosted by MizB @ Should be Reading

So all you have to answer these three questions:

1. What are you currently reading?

2. What did you recently finish reading?

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m currently reading Six of Crows book 2, the Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo! And also I was Here by Gayle Forman.

Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2) Image result for i was here by gayle forman

The pages are red outlined and it’s beautiful and the book is amazing so far and my little brother who’s 6 keeps calling it my “red book”. I’m only 69 pages in and there are like 500 plus pages so my goal for October is to at least finish the Crooked Kingdom. This is so sad though. I usually read about 10 books a month and now I’m reduced to like two. Ugh. School.

I was Here is so far not my cup of tea, but I do love Gale Forman so we’ll see since I’m only on page 47. I’m reading the e-book version of I was Here and the hardcover of the Crooked Kingdom.

You’re probably wondering why I’m reading an e-book and physical book at the same time. Well it’s because I’ve learned my lesson. Physical books are for school only because your teachers will yell at you and embarrass you in front of the whole class if you’re reading an e-book. So I read the Croooked Kingdom at school and my e-book basically any where else.

Also, I was reading After You by Jojo Moyes and got about halfway through before the e-book expired on me. 😦

After You (Me Before You, #2)

Now I’m on hold and there are like 3 people ahead of me still and given how long I waited for the book in the first place I’m probably not getting it any time soon 😦

I recently finished reading Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas and Cream of the Crop by Alice Clayton.

I LOVED Empire of Storms and really liked Cream of the Crop, I have an Empire of Storms review, which you can click here to see

I’m going to read next The Score by Elle Kennedy! And if my request of It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover ever goes through, that one also.  Oh and I have to re-read Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo for Battle of the Books.

Speaking of the Score I got a paperback of this from the library the other day and went with my 6 year old brother and he wanted to get some Power Rangers movies so I got those for him and while we were checking everything out he was all like eww it’s on of your naked boy books (because that’s what my mom calls them) and then he tried to shield his eyes away from the book. Nice. I know.

Essentially, you have to answer three questions:

1. What are you currently reading?

2. What did you recently finish reading?

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m currently reading The Last Day of Captain Lincoln which was sent to me for review, as well as the White Rose by Amy Ewing

I recently finished Smut by Karina Halle, Blackmail Boyfriend by Chris Cannon, and P.S. I Like You by Kasie West.

As you can see, this week I had a bit of a summer contemporary freakout when I realized I barely read any contemporaries this summer and it was already August.

And I’m going to be reading these books next…hopefully…I got this trilogy as a Christmas present…so I would say they’ve been on my TBR for a while now

I also have a few books on hold on live-brary:

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Yellow Brick War by Danielle Paige, It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover, After You by Jojo Moyes, and a Darker Shade of Magic. But I’m not holding my breath for those books this month because I have like 5 people ahead of me for Cursed Child and it Ends with Us.

What are your 3 W’s? Link me up with your WWW Wednesday’s and I’ll be sure to check them out!

Thanks for reading!

Ugh, Reading Slumps Suck- WWW Wednesday

Hello! Since i’m in this reading slump, i haven’t been reading much. I tried reading Patrick Ness (The Knife of Never Letting Go), and i ended up returning it to the library because i just couldn’t finish it after chapter 2. Then i started The Luxe by Anna Godbersen, and i’ve managed to get 3 chapters in, so we’ll see what happens.

So guys, summer is officially over, and my summer books total is 42! I’m surprised i even got there because of how little i read this summer. Last summer i read 50 books. I tend to read more in the summer because i know when school starts i won’t have time.

I have read a total of 101 books this year, and i read a total of 138 last year i think.

But anyways, i’m getting off topic, this is a WWW Wednesday, not a ‘let’s talk about stuff’.

2. What did you recently finish reading?

Currently Reading

The Luxe by Anna Godbersen

Just Finished

Wither, Shipbreaker, and Every Last Breath

Reading Next

The Fill in Boyfriend, part of my Fall TBR.

Hmmm, i might just set The Luxe aside and read The Fill in Boyfriend instead.

So that is is for this WWW Wednesday, slightly boring because i haven’t been reading much, but yes.

Share your thoughts! Do we have any books in common, different? Did you like the books i’ve mentioned? Leave a link to your WWW Wednesday also!

Thanks for reading!

P.S.

Ok, yesterday at swim practice, 9 girls couldn’t go, and our rule is that the day before a meet, you have to be at practice or you can’t swim in the meet the next day.

We have a meet on Thursday, and we’re off today on Wednesday because of Yom Kippur, so we have like 12 girls swimming on Thursday, and that’s how many we need to fill all the relays. (3 lanes, 4 girls in each lane, 3 times 4 is 12)

I guess this means i’m going to be swimming A LOT on Thursday, and it’s an away meet. Yikes.

The goal is simply to answer the three W’s which are as follows:

1. What are you currently reading?

2. What did you recently finish reading?

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Let’s do it!

Currently Reading:

I’m actually reading quite a few books, i don’t know how this happened, but oh well. I’m reading Wither by Lauren Desefano, Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella, and Never Always Sometimes by Adi Alsaid

Recently Finished Reading:

I have just finished Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder, Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas, and Wallbanger by Alice Clayton. (Wallbanger is an adult romance by the way)

Going To Read Next:

To be honest, this hasn’t really changed that much since the last WWW Wednesday i did. Every Last Breath by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

I also picked up some books at the school library which i will read soon, i got Ship breaker and the first book in the Chaos Walking Series. Yay! Finally! Everyone is probably thinking: It’s about time! Calliope is finally going to read a Patrick Ness book! I’m just as excited as you are about this development, trust me.

So that is it for this WWW Wednesday! Leave some comments if you’ve read the books that i’m planning to read, have anything else in common with me, or have suggestions for me on what to read next. 🙂

Thanks so much for reading!

WWW Wednesday- August 26, 2015

Hello! Sorry i didn’t post my usual Top Ten Tuesday yesterday. I just started swimming in the mornings with my high school varsity team, and i wasn’t feeling up to it yesterday, so i just posted a pre-typed book review.

You basically have to answer three questions:

The 3 W’s are

1. What are you currently reading?

2. What did you recently finish reading?

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

Ok, to be completely honest, i’m currently reading a romance novel that is far mature than i am, and if my mom ever knew what i was reading, she’d be pissed. It’s one of those guilty pleasure reads that you have to really be in a mood for. I don’t know why i’m embarrassed or feeling guilty for reading it. *sighs*

Recently Finished Reading:

I just finished reading White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout, and i have a book review on it. I also just finished the sequel, Stone Cold Touch, book review to be coming soon. I also read Unbroken recently, book review to come as well.

What am i going to read next?

Most likely: Every Last Breath, the third and last book. I’m also hoping to finally read Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella, but the library still has it out on Overdrive. Frustration. I’ve heard great things about Finding Audrey, and i’m excited to finally read it!

So that’s it for my first WWW Wednesday. If you have any questions as to what these book are about, shoot me a comment, also, let me know your W’s! Did we have any in common? 🙂

Thanks for reading!
