Wow. So. Yeah. October has been a busy month. I barely posted and I barely read anything. I managed to sneak some books in at the end of the month bringing my grand total of books read this month to 5. And I’m 94 books into my Goodreads reading challenge of 100. Go me! I’m pretty confident that I’ll be able to finish 6 books between November and December.
So anyways, this month started off with Cream of the Crop by Alice Clayton
I gave this book 3.5 stars. I read this on the second day of October so I don’t exactly remember everything about this book but I think I enjoyed myself. Sorry about how lame that sounded. I definitely think that the first books, Nuts was a lot better in terms of pacing and romance. I thought that the main characters in this one were a little difficult to picture in my head and get into.
I also read this amazing beauty known as the Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo.
5 wonderful stars! I meant to write a review actually and I might still get around to it but this book was so big and beautiful and I loved it! It was just as gripping and exciting as Six of Crows and the adventures and plot twists were great!
I was also sent Unfathomable Chance to review by K. T. Munson
I really liked this book! The main character was strong and sassy, just the way I like ’em. 3.5 stars, and I should have a review up pretty soon I hope!
I also re-read Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I had to read this book again because it’s part of a library book trivia competition I’m doing. I must say I enjoyed reading this again much more than I enjoyed reading it the first time. 3.5 star rating on the re-read, and it was so strange to see Genya and Zoya in this book after reading the Crooked Kingdom.
And lastly, I just finished this one last night, The Score by Elle Kennedy
I don’t think my library has any copies of the goal yet otherwise I would be all over that. I loved this book! 5 stars! On par with the deal I think! I’m so excited for the Goal! Do you see all of these exclamation points?! Allie and Dean were just such a great storyline and Dean working with the younger kids hockey team was just the cutest. I’d definitely recommend this one if you’re looking for a quick romantic NA novel!
Anyhoo, thanks for reading! Happy Halloween if you live in a place where it’s celebrated! What books have you read this month? Link me up to your wrap ups and I will be sure to check them out!
