“A world divided in two.”

Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

My Thoughts:

Warning: This review is just fangirling basically

Oh my freaking god. This book!!!!

It was so good and my poor emotions!

Okay everything else below this is spoilery!

I had just three problems. The first was that I had a weird Edward, Bella, Jacob feel when Feyre was going back and forth between the Spring and the Night Court. I have no idea why or where it came from but that feeling was there and it bothered me.

And also, I just didn’t like how matchy matchy everyone was at the end. Like it seems that everyone has a partner/mate (except Tamlin) and it’s just too good to be true.

And then the last thing was that ending. It was great, amazing and wonderful, but when Rhysand was like oh actually she’s my high lady…that was not okay. Because the reader didn’t see that happen! It’s fine when that happens in books, when the reader is totally clueless until it happens, like the entire Red Rising Trilogy is basically that, but in ACOMAF, I felt like the whole book was the reader seeing everything and then that last bit that we didn’t see felt out of place.

Now for the fangirling section!

Oh my god. In the first one, everyone was like oh my god Tamlin! And then when I finished I was like, any Rhysand lovers here? And everyone was like nope and I was like okay, fine, we’ll see in ACOMAF and we did and I was like in your face people, I was right!

Can we also just talk about that TENSION between Feyre and Rhysand! That SEXUAL TENSION! When they were in the Court of Nighmares I was just like wooh! And then finally in that cabin when she accepted the food! Oh my god the whole mate accepting the food thing! That was hilarious.

I loved meeting all of the new characters and how Rhysand interacted with them and their back stories and just Rhysand opening up to Feyre.

And that ending! I was kind of expecting that because Sarah J. Maas always does that! Not quite a cliffhanger but such a great setup for the next book!

Verdict:

An amazing sequel that brings out the emotions and leaves you wanting and needing that next book right away!

My Rating:

5 out of 5 stars

  1. Great review! I tried to read this book slowly, because I didn’t want it to end! I just wrote a review for this book and I think it took me an hour to write it! I’m pretty sure the whole thing was 1000 plus words long XD When I wrote a review for Queen of Shadows it was also 1000 plus words long. I think I need to add the word ‘shorter’ to my vocabulary at least when it comes to reviewing her books.

  2. EPIC!!! I loved ACOMAF so much more than ACOTAR!!! I loved seeing the forming of a crew, basically a band of misfits. Love it! And I can’t wait to see how it all plays out in the next one. I do agree with you though on the whole not seeing when or how she became the high
Lady, I would have liked to have been clued in lol.

  3. I totally felt the same way about the matching up of all the characters at the end. It came out of nowhere and I really want to see if all these ships are going to set sail. I think some hearts are about to break in the next book and I’m kind of anxious to see which ships end up sinking 😬.
