Pastry Book Tag

The Pastry Book Tag!

Hello everyone! I was tagged last month to do the Pastry Book Tag by Raven @ Dreamy Addictions

Now i’m a dessert lover so i’m really excited to do this tag! (All of these pastries are going to make you hungry! They’re making me hungry for sure!)

Let’s get started!

Croissant: Name a popular book or series that everyone (including you) love.

Hmm, well there are a lot! Let’s go with Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

Macaron: Name a book that was hard to get through but worth it at the end.

Oh my god, i want a macaron now!

I’ve used the Coldest Girl in Coldtown for this question in another tag before, so i’m going to go with The Archived by Victoria Schwab- just because i was confused in the beginning with the whole prologue kind of thing

Vol-au-vent: Name a book that you thought would be amazing but fell flat.

I’ve never heard of this pastry…hmmmm…

Anyway, i’m going to go with the book i just reviewed, Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella (Click on the title to see why)

Pain au chocolat: Name a book that you thought would be one thing but turned out to be something else.

I guess The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare- i hesitated a few months before picking it up because of the synopsis, but i’m so glad i did!

Profiterole: Name a book or series that doesn’t get enough attention.

Oh my god, i want one, look at that chocolate! I’m a chocolate addict too!

Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock. I got this at a library giveaway, and it was so good! The sequel sucked though.

Croquembouche: Name a book or series that’s extremely complex.

What in the world is that?

Well i would say the Mortal Instruments, but i already said that, so let’s go with Shatter Me, just in the sense that when people ask what it’s about, i have trouble explaining

Napoleon: Name a movie or TV show based off a book that you liked better than the book itself.

Hey! I actually know these guys! My mom buys a set sometimes of frozen pastries, and this is one of them

Pretty Little Liars, i actually only read the first chapter of the book, oops

Empanada: Name a book that was bittersweet.

All the Bright Places by Jandy Nelson

Kolompeh: Name a book or series that takes place somewhere other than your home country.

I don’t know what this is, but it looks yummy!

I live in the Unites States, so i could go with Clockwork Angel, but Raven went with that one, so i’m going to go with any of Sophie Kinsella’s books, since they all take place in London or somewhere in England

Pate a Choux: Name one food from a book or series that you would like to try.

Butterbeer!!!!

Also, Starbucks has butterbeer frapuccino’s on their secret menu now!

(If you remember the cake from yesterday’s 100 Followers post, yeah, i’m going to go eat that right now)

Comment on what’s your favorite pastry too! – Those macarons look good, hmm, but so do— ah, i can’t choose, they’re all good!

  1. I like your answers! It’s still a little bit of a shock to go and visit a blog and find my tag on that blog…I expected it to die out super quickly?? I don’t know. But I agree with the Coldest Girl in Coldtown thing… I wasn’t really into it once they got past the interesting first chapter with the dead bodies and such, but didn’t really get to the action yet. However, I’m glad I stuck with it!

Thanks for stopping by Writing on a

  2. Wow so I had to go and google the Croquembouche and I really want to try it know so bad, I think it’s the dessert that Anna Kendrick orders in the Kate Spade commercial she’s in…anyways it looks fantastic.
I’ve never finished Confessions of a Shopaholic I have tried to start it about 3 or 4 times and can’t do it, she is so annoying! Hilariously enough I always leave off around when she buys the scarf at the very beginning; every time, I don’t know why, also when I tried to watch the movie on tv I had to leave to run errands and guess where I left off at…the part where she buys the scarf lol, go figure.

  3. What a fun tag! Thanks for tagging me. 🙂

I’ve never ever heard of Dairy Queen before this post, so thank you for bringing it to my attention! Tbh I can’t help but to think about the chain restaurant Dairy Queen though, haha.

And you’re absolutely right about Confessions of a Shopaholic. I just read your review and I think I enjoyed it a bit more than you did, but it really wasn’t amazing to me. I actually like the movie better! At least there was only one and we don’t have to read Becky making the same mistakes book and book and book again…
