Ok, acceptable color, i like the blue, but this is the one i had:
What is this!? Is this supposed to be Roth or Zayne? (I checked, it’s supposed to be Zayne) Yeah, so just another weird, non attractive creepy male on yet another cover. Where are these covers from? Maybe cause i read it online…You know how there’s this online library, live-brary, that links you to overdrive or something like that, yeah, that’s what i use to e-read.
Ok, wait, it’s the same guy on both covers. Hmph, well, his side profile is much more attractive then, that’s all i have to say.
Anyways, let’s get into the review!
Well, this the equal to White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout. If you want a synopsis about that one, or want to read my review, please click here.
Ok, so in this book, we start out with Roth in the pits of hell because he saved Zane and went himself, yada yada yada. The goodreads description has a whole paragraph devoted to how Layla’s powers are evolving and stuff, which is a big chunk of the book i guess. Oh! And her Warden clan are growing feisty and keeping lots of secrets from her…
I was kind of dreading that we’d have to go on this mission to rescue Roth and that’s what this book would be about. (Cough cough, Lux) But that’s not what happened! Yay! I’m still team Roth after this book, and i’m confident that he would be endgame.
I saw a lot more Twilight comparisons, especially from New Moon, like when Roth comes with his motorcycle, i was like, Jacob Black!
My Thoughts- Spoilers:
I did not see Sam coming. I probably should have. Also, whyyyyyyyyyyy would Roth leave Layla alone in that demon bar thing!? “I told you to stay put.” Really? Really? Ugh! Also, when Zayne walks in to her room when she’s only in her bra, and just stares at her. Awkward much?
I liked this book! I did, solid 4 out of 5 stars. Jennifer L. Armentrout is a brilliant writer, and she makes the typical love triangle work somehow.
Leave your thoughts below! Do you agree with me, or disagree? What team are you on?!
Thanks for reading!
